Fun with a message.
This Saturday and Sunday (31/7 & 1/8) will see the volunteer team from Loch Ness RNLI hold two Sea Safety and Lifeboat equipment demonstrations between 10am and 2pm.
Kicking off the weekend will be an event at Dores beach which is being kindly hosted by the Dores Inn.
On offer will be a lifeboat rescue demonstration and free checking and servicing of any lifejackets brought along to the charity's Sea Safety Roadshow caravan.
Crew will be on hand to talk about what's involved in providing a world-class rescue service on one of the most beautiful stretches of water in the world.
Advice will also be given on choosing and using distress flares, VHF radios and safety equipment that could save your life if you get into difficulties whilst out on the water.
On Sunday the team will be in the central car park in Drumnadrochit, again between 10am and 2pm.
On both days the team will be displaying equipment used by the RNLI's Future Crew youth training programme which trains 14 -1 6 year old youngsters in the skills needed by lifeboat and lifeguard teams within the RNLI.
Louise Graham, 17, the newest and youngest member of the RNLI lifeboat crew says: "We are planning some fun activities for visitors to observe and be involved in but all will contain a serious safety message".
Crewmember Vivian Bailey added: "Loch Ness is a thrilling and spectacular body of water and more and more people are coming to enjoy activities on and around the loch".
Nessie has shown her support by posing in her own lifeboat gear and can be seen on the new range of T-shirts being sold by the Loch Ness and Great Glen Lifeboat Branch.
